Christopher Ross's "Animal Instinct": A Fusion of Luxury and Art

Unveiling the Award-Winning Wearable Luxury Art Collection

Renowned New York designer, Christopher Ross, introduces "Animal Instinct", a collection of wearable luxury art inspired by the animal form. This unique collection, which blurs the boundaries between art, jewelry, haute couture, and luxury design, has been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Limited Edition and Custom Design Award in 2016.

Christopher Ross, forever inspired by nature, history, art, literature, philosophy, and culture, sees the animal form as a new source of empowerment. This vision is reflected in his latest collection, "Animal Instinct", which features a series of animal-inspired, limited edition pieces. Each piece is a true work of art, sculpted by Ross himself, and features his trademark Bohemian glass eye.

The uniqueness of "Animal Instinct" lies in Ross's passion and eye for beauty and aesthetics. Each piece is hand cast in silver from the clay original, polished by the master artisan, and finished in matte antique sterling silver or 24-karat gold of superb quality. The limited edition luxury belts are stamped not only with his name, date, number, and copyright but also with his signature thumbprint, making each piece truly unique.

Designed as a form of armor jewelry for the free-spirited female, each piece is ergonomically designed to fit the female form perfectly. The highly detailed sculpted belts are timeless classics that have the ability to transform any outfit, to bring it alive again, and to identify and glorify the individual. The sustainable concept of the luxury belts is to last a lifetime and further usage as an heirloom for future generations.

The collection was realized in New York City and exhibited at various prestigious events and locations, including Fendi's Design Miami/ Limited Edition Experiences event during Art Basel Miami in December 2009. Further exhibitions took place at Vendome Luxury show in Paris, France; Beretta Gallery in New York City and Chisholm Gallery in Palm Beach County, Florida, in 2015. Some of the pieces were seen on Sex and the City, showcased in Rachel Roy's digital AW 2013-14 runway show and subsequently broadcast on WSJ Live and ABC News in 2015.

Despite the challenge of the time frame of production, Ross was able to create distinctive designs that were envisioned intuitively without any use of images. The statement pieces feature a unique, armor-like design and empowers the feminine physique through its pure luxury and drama.

Christopher Ross's "Animal Instinct" is a testament to the designer's prodigy and wisdom. The collection embodies extraordinary excellence and significantly impacts the world with its desirable characteristics. It is a celebration of the fusion of luxury and art, and a tribute to the power and beauty of the animal form.
